The Importance of PCI Compliance

The PCI Council founding members are American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, and Visa Inc.  They created the PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance standards to protect personal information and ensure security when transactions are processed using a payment card.

We at Frontline Processing operate at Level 1, the highest level of PCI compliance.  Maintaining Level 1 compliance is difficult and extremely costly.  It involves an independent Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) to visit our offices for several days of auditing our systems and processes annually as well as quarterly network scans and monitoring. The result is we are able to offer superior security to our merchants who process with us.  This month we successfully completed our PCI audit and have renewed our certification.

So what does this mean to you?
Anyone who handles credit card information is subject to PCI regulations.  These are set mostly by Visa and Mastercard and apply to merchants as well.

The vast majority of businesses are PCI level 4 which means they process fewer than 1 million Visa transactions annually. Most of these can become compliant simply by completing an annual Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ).  Some Internet merchants may also require a network vulnerability scan.  We are here to help you with this.

Frontline Processing will contact you once a year and help you complete this required PCI form.  We appreciate your cooperation in this process and we appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
